nighttime skincare routine

Living in New York City, we expect cold, harsh wind howling through the city during these winter months. During the cold weather, I love staying in more often and doing at-home facials, drinking a glass of red wine, and reading a book. My previous post was all about my daytime skincare routine which is more light and less time consuming since I’m usually running late in the morning. My nighttime skincare routine takes a little bit more time but nonetheless, it leaves my skin feeling so smooth.

This is my nighttime routine/weekly at-home facial routine. I use some of these products every night but others like the masque and peel, I use twice a week. To start off, I use Philosophy Purity Facial Cleanser to wash my face. I let my face dry so I can put on Kiehl’s Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque (let it sit for 10 minutes) and then wash it off, let face dry before using m-61 PowerGlow Peel. If it’s the usual routine, I cleanse my face and then let it dry before applying my creams.

I apply Tea Tree Oil to any blemishs. For eye cream, I recently starting using Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye cream and I love it! For moisturizer, I’m using Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer– a right balance of not being too light or too heavy on the skin.

Once I’m in bed, I love lighting up a candle. Right now, the one I’m loving is a candle I brought in Woodstock, NY. It’s lavender and it’s so calming. I love having a candle or applying scented oil on my pillows– scents are so important to me. It can energize or relax your mind so it’s something I’m always using throughout the day.

I also apply Kiehl’s body oil to moisture my skin and I use L’Occitane foot cream before putting on my fuzzy socks. Wearing socks locks in the cream and leaves your feet so smooth by morning.

Let me know your skincare routine and favorites!! I’ll love to learn what brands you’re loving! xx
